Long form content usually refers to an article that is long – usually more than 1000 words. Although there is no set rule on the number of words that qualifies an article as “long form” but the 1000 words is considered as ‘long form’ by most SEOs. The debate among SEOs for a content to be long form or not has to do with how Google ranks long form content and about how long form impacts user engagement. Many SEO studies show that users usually prefer long form content, especially if it is interspersed with multiple content formats such as images, video, and others.
